I’ve been reading a book by one of my favourite authors, James Altucher, which is called The Choose Yourself Guide to Wealth. I got to a point where he talked about the 3 goals he has in life:
- To be happy
- To eradicate unhappiness in my life
- For every day to be as smooth as possible, with no hassles
Those are good goals. They had a profound affect on me, and I decided I wanted them to be my goals too. At least for the time being.
I know every now and again I choose to be angry, and that affects my life by what I attract to myself and what I write about.
Choosing to be angry is stupid. Life is too short, with too many wonderful experiences just waiting for me, which will be missed if I’m spending my time angry about something.
So I’ve made a decision. I’m not perfect, and I’ll slip up every now and again, but I’m going to choose to be happy, and to eradicate unhappiness from my life.
To start with, I’ve eradicated a number of online information sources that were ultimately making me angry. I don’t need them in this pursuit of happiness.
I’m going to surround myself with more things that make me happy. Maybe you’ll even see some side effects of that in my writing.
