I started blogging back in late 1998, shortly after my birthday. Back then it was called ‘online journaling’, and ‘blogging’ didn’t come about until the early 2000’s. I remember thinking at the time that it was such a stupid name and would never catch on…
But between 1998 and 2012 there are over 1,200 posts about my journey through life, brought together from the different websites, forums and blogs I’d had over those years.
I’ve decided to collate them all into this blog too, under the category of ‘1998-2012’. Well, that’s the category that comes to mind at the moment. Other options are ‘Old’, ‘From the archive’, ‘Past blogs’, or ‘Ancient History’.
Those are the ideas that come to mind at the moment, but they might change. Maybe you’ve got some ideas of your own? What do you think the category could be called that houses over 1200 posts from my past?
My blog now is Alan’s Journey. This blog started early 2013, and was originally going to be just about my journey through life from the point that I started it. But I’ve been thinking this past few days that I doubt it’s going to change as time goes by, so it might just be worthwhile storing all my old posts in here as well.
And then it really will be about my journey through life – from 1998 to the present, and into the future.
