An article I recently wrote on Website and blog design talked about niche content. It’s been on my mind since then, about how I have tried writing niche content in the past with various blog experiments, but always gave up after a while. I have a politics blog that I don’t update as often as I should, and I’ve engaged in various other experiments that haven’t been successful.
Why weren’t they succesful? Simple. I didn’t have the time and the commitment for them. Ultimately, I didn’t have the passion for them
Niche content? Definitely not. And I may as well stop trying to focus on particular types of content spread over different blogs, as I’ve been doing in the past. It’s just not working for me.
If you want to read only particular content, then use the category cloud to browse through those articles that you’re interested in. I think the ‘niche’ for me is simply to allow you to find your own niche content on here, that which you’re most interested in reading about. Ignore everything else.
You can’t please everyone all the time, but as long as you can please some of the people some of the time, then it makes your efforts worthwhile.
