This is a view of Wellington Harbour from a friend’s place, opposite where I live but all the way over on the other side of the harbour. I live in the hills, just to the left of the part you can see below.

Waitangi Day is a public holiday here, which is a comemoration of the signing of a treaty between the Maori locals and the British, back in 1840.. Here’s a few photos of some celebration stuff in a park in the city centre.
